About this fabric

Micro-mesh has small, evenly spaced holes across the whole surface. Air moves through it more freely than through a closed knit, so it is the usual choice for basketball vests and for the side and underarm panels of football and rugby shirts.

The trade-off is durability: a mesh snags more easily than a closed interlock, so we do not recommend it for full rugby jerseys or for garments that will be worn under contact. Sublimation works well, though very fine text should be kept to a reasonable size so the holes do not break it up.

Colours

White or light base for sublimation — the colour comes from the print, so any shade is possible.

Care

  • Wash at 30°C inside out with similar colours
  • Do not bleach or use fabric softener — it blocks moisture wicking
  • Do not tumble dry on high heat; line dry
  • Do not iron over prints or transfers
