About this fabric
Bird's-eye mesh gets its name from the small diamond-shaped holes in the knit. It breathes noticeably better than interlock but keeps a closed enough structure to resist snagging, so it works for full garments rather than just panels.
It is a common choice for training tops and basketball shooting shirts, and for teams who want a textured look on the jersey itself. The texture slightly softens very fine printed detail, which is rarely an issue for kit designs.
Colours
White or light base for sublimation — the colour comes from the print, so any shade is possible.
Care
- Wash at 30°C inside out with similar colours
- Do not bleach or use fabric softener — it blocks moisture wicking
- Do not tumble dry on high heat; line dry
- Do not iron over prints or transfers
